The SE family from the Chinese manufacturer ID-COOLING includes mid- and high-end tower coolers designed to cool powerful processors such as Intel Core i7/i9 and Ryzen 7/9. These coolers usually have a height of 120 to 160 mm, the radiator is located vertically, and one or more active fans with PWM control are blown on the side. Heat pipes are in direct contact with the processor. The most popular models are usually available in different colors and with optional RGB/ARGB lighting.
All ID-COOLING SE cooling systems can be divided into two types based on power. The first is a tower with a single fan and energy efficiency of 100 W, which is enough to cool modern 4- or 6-core Core i5 processors. A clear example of this approach is the ID-COOLING SE-903-SD model - one of the most affordable CPU coolers with U-shaped direct contact copper heat pipes, a classic tower layout and a highly efficient PWM fan on a hydrodynamic bearing. With an official price of under $20, the SE-903-SD is capable of dissipating up to 130W of heat from the processor and features convenient latches.
The second type is a heavy-duty air cooler with a compacted radiator and double fans operating in push-pull mode. Such supercoolers are as efficient as advanced liquid cooling systems and are capable of removing 220 to 280 W of heat from the processor, which is suitable for flagship 16/20/24-core processors like Core i9 or Ryzen 9. A good example of such a tower is a one and a half kilogram HEDT cooler ID-COOLING SE-207-XT, which over time has acquired various modifications with RGB backlighting and different body design options.
