— bearings that use a magnetic field for operation: the rotating axis is “suspended” in it and does not come into contact with the stationary part of the structure. Such devices have extremely high efficiency, virtually zero noise and very decent overall reliability, but they are not cheap — and therefore are used mainly in high-end cooling systems.
