The adapter is connected to the TV using the built-in connector (or your own cable with a plug), most often the HDMI input is used for this. And the main source of content for such devices are network resources — IPTV, video services, online TV and radio, local DLNA devices, etc. (see "Functions and Capabilities"); access to the network is carried out via Wi-Fi (see "Multimedia"). Many of these models also have advanced software functionality — up to the full-fledged Android OS (see below) with the ability to install additional applications.Occasionally, there are other, more specific types of adapters — for example, models with a USB port and a composite analogue output, designed to play video from flash drives and other USB media on outdated TVs that are not equipped with USB connectors and digital inputs.
