Media players with USB input

USB connector

— a classic full-sized USB connector, and sometimes several such connectors. The most popular way to use such ports in media players and TV tuners is to connect flash drives and external hard drives to play various content from them; USB can also be used to charge various gadgets, such as smartphones. Such use cases are available in almost all models with this function (although there are isolated exceptions — for example, adapters where USB is responsible for connecting the IR receiver from the remote control). However, more specific functionality may also be provided: connecting keyboards, mice, game controllers, webcams, etc. The set of such functions should be specified separately.

USB connectors may correspond to different versions, but in this case this point is not fundamental. Problems can only arise when connecting to the ports of older versions of peripherals that require increased power from USB, but such peripherals are rarely used with media players.
