Quite an interesting variation on the theme of the original PlayStation 3. On the one hand, the new console has lost a memory card slot and half of the USB ports (Slim has 2 of them). On the other hand, the volume of the built-in storage has increased to 120 GB (in the minimum configuration), and power consumption has decreased by 30% with the same hardware basis: 8-core processor with 3.2 GB, 256 MB of RAM and a Blu-ray drive.
