0+/1/2 (0 – 25 kg)

However, they are slightly less popular than another type of three-category seats, 1/2/3. The key distinction is that 0+/1/2 seats must provide two installation options: rear-facing for babies in their first year and forward-facing for older children, while 1/2/3 seats can manage with forward-facing installation only.

Note that the downside of versatility is either increased cost or slightly less reliability than similar models with a smaller number of age categories.
