Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4)
— these batteries are essentially a modification of lithium-ion batteries (see the relevant paragraph) designed to address some of the original technology's shortcomings. They are notable primarily for their high reliability and safety: the likelihood of a battery "explosion" due to overload is virtually zero, and overall, LiFePO4 batteries handle high peak loads without issues. Additionally, they are quite resistant to cold and maintain their operating voltage almost until complete discharge. The main drawback of this type is a slightly lower capacity.Show
