Under such operating conditions, batteries are subject to both increased corrosion (from water, salt, temperature changes) and other negative influences — primarily vibrations and strong rolls. All this is taken into account in the design: the batteries have improved tightness, allow tilts up to 90 ° (for some, “on the side” can generally be a regular working position), and the terminals are made of moisture-resistant alloys and often have a special “boat” design based on bolts. However, there are also contacts of a more familiar, “automobile” format.
