Trimmers
Trimmer
— hand garden tool, a kind of mechanized analogue of a scythe. It consists of a motor, a cutting attachment and a handle(s) attached to one rod. The small width of the working nozzle allows you to work even in narrow spaces where the lawn mower will not pass; with one stroke of the trimmer, you can capture a fairly wide strip of grass; and you can cut grass at any height – including coping with vegetation that is too tall for traditional lawn mowers. In addition, a special fishing line is most often used as a cutting attachment in such devices, which is not afraid of collisions with solid objects (although there are also models with bladed knives). The disadvantages of the trimmer are traditional for hand tools: the unit has to be constantly carried on itself, which can be tiring during prolonged work; and the cutting height has to be adjusted "by eye" (the exception is models with rollers — see "Trimmer design").grass trimmer (brushcutters) | clear | Save List |
