Sublimation

— specialized paper designed for applying images to various surfaces (fabric, ceramics, metal, etc.) using the heat transfer method. In this process, the image is first printed on the paper, then the paper is placed against the desired surface and put under a heat press; as a result of heating, the ink sublimates from the paper and settles onto the main substrate. This method can be used to apply various images onto clothing (T-shirts, caps), dishware (mugs, plates, ashtrays), accessories (wallets, purses), and more.

The name "sublimation" is due to the fact that the evaporation of ink from this paper occurs in the form of sublimation — a transition from solid directly to gas.
