The Mutant features a highly asymmetric and downturned last to optimally position the foot on steep rock. The highly advanced sole unit comprises a super-sticky molded Zenith? rubber forefoot half-sole and one-piece Zenith? heel cup. These molded sections have an accurate 3D shape to hold the foot with no dead space, and maintain their shape over time. Thinner rubber is used in the middle of the sole to enhance flexibility, and ensure a close fit under the arch.
