Teflon pans
Teflon
— teflon is the popular name for the polymeric material polytetrafluoroethylene. It has become widespread due to its affordability, good non-stick properties and ease of cleaning. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when handling this material. The main one is the inadmissibility of scratches — even with a slight damage, Teflon begins to release harmful substances, and the pan becomes unusable. Accordingly, such dishes cannot be washed with abrasive products, and when cooking, only wooden or silicone spatulas should be used. Teflon does not tolerate high temperatures well, and its service life is limited — on average, about 5 years.Show
