— the principle of pulse induction, which involves the use of a coil with one winding: such a winding emits search pulses, and in the intervals between them plays the role of a receiver. PI technology is considered the most suitable for adverse conditions such as highly mineralized soils or underwater searches in salt water; its main drawback is the impossibility of recognizing the finds by the type of metal.
