Butterfly

— a form found exclusively in DD format reels. As the name suggests, this coil consists of two ellipses, partially aligned and resembling butterfly wings. Usually, such coils are larger than traditional elliptical DD-radiators — this allows you to increase the coverage; moreover, for a number of reasons, it is the “butterfly” that is considered the most suitable option for large DD coils.
