Insulated screwdrivers
Dielectric screwdriver
— diaelectric screwdrivers are those made of insulating materials and having additional protection against electricity. The rod itself in such screwdrivers is usually metal, but it is covered almost to the very tip with an insulating material; in addition, the handle usually also has reinforced insulation. Thanks to this, such a tool provides maximum safety when working on or near live parts. However, note that even such specialized screwdrivers have certain operating limitations (for example, up to 10,000 V); and, of course, the use of such a tool is not an absolute guarantee of security and does not eliminate the need to use other means of protection. Also note that indicator screwdrivers (see the relevant paragraph) are not dielectric, although they may be similar to them.No offers found
