Punches
Punches
— devices designed for knocking out ("knocking out" — hence the name) studs, pins, plugs and other similar parts inserted into holes. A traditional drift is a solid metal rod, one end of which is thickened — it is from this side that hammer blows are applied during operation. The holes and the parts placed in them can have different diameters, therefore the punches also differ in size; sets of several punches of different diameters are widely used.Separately, we note that such a tool should not be confused with a punch as a method of metal processing. The latter is also known as diving or butovka, it is carried out with the help of special knockout hammers with anvils and has nothing to do with knockouts as a type of tool.
