Dust protection 5 stands for “dust resistance”: the case is not completely impermeable to contaminants, however, they get inside in small quantities and are not capable of harming the electronic hardware. And water protection 7 allows the possibility of short-term (less than half an hour, and often less) immersion in water to a depth of 1 m. Thus, with a similar gadget on your hand, you can even swim — but without diving to depth and without jumping into the water. It is also worth bearing in mind that this level alone does not guarantee protection against water jets.
