Dust protection 5 stands for “dust resistance”: the case is not completely impermeable to contaminants, however, they get inside in small quantities and are not capable of harming the electronic hardware. And water protection 5 allows you to transfer water jets of weak and medium strength that fall on the case from any direction. In fact, this means that with a gadget on your hand, you can at least wash your hands without any worries, and also be even under fairly heavy rain; but for showering, jet skiing and other activities accompanied by strong jets of water, a higher level of protection is desirable.
