Like "purely" battery models, such tools can work without external power sources, while their power and performance can be much higher — quite a lot of energy is obtained from gas. However the dimensions and weight of battery-gas staplers are also quite solid, such models are not cheap, and they are difficult to maintain — you have to monitor not only the battery charge, but also the amount of gas, and periodically refill the cylinder. As a result, this principle of operation is rarely encountered, mainly in a professional-level tool designed for complex large-scale work.
