Touch buttons

Such buttons have a number of advantages over conventional mechanical ones. Firstly, they do not require forceful pressing — a light touch is sufficient to operate it. Secondly, they add a stylish and modern appearance to the entire device, giving it a "technological" vibe. Thirdly, this type of panel has no gaps or protruding parts, making it easy to clean as dirt cannot accumulate in such areas. However, it is important to note that touch buttons can be relatively expensive, and therefore they are commonly found in more advanced coffee maker models, typically in the mid to high-end range.

Note that such buttons may well be combined with a touch display (see the relevant paragraph), although most often the display in such coffee makers is conventional (and sometimes not at all).
