Audio receivers with Main input
— an input that allows you to feed a signal directly to the amplifier of the audio receiver, without using additional electronic circuits that can affect the purity of the signal, such as treble / bass controls (see the relevant paragraph). Useful for those cases when you want to appreciate the original sound, not distorted by passing through the "extra" components of the audio system. Most often, the Main input is made in the form of a set of RCA connectors (“tulip”, similar to a regular line input), occasionally there is also an XLR interface — more advanced and noise-resistant, but less convenient (because it is used less often in signal sources than RCA ).
