A mid-range CPU cooler with an excellent balance between price, thermal performance and noise level. Like most of the products of the German brand be quiet!, this cooler is very quiet (19 to 27 dB range) and quite aspires to be included in the cohort of silent components. The tower-type design is made according to the classic U-shaped scheme, when a massive single-section metal heatsink is located perpendicular to the processor, it is blown on the side by a proprietary Pure Wings 2 fan with PWM-speed control, and for additional cooling, the heatsink pierces 4 direct contact heat pipes.

Be quiet! Pure Rock 2 has an impressive thermal power dissipation (up to 150 W), a significant weight (575 g). With high performance, the cooler is ready to effectively cool a powerful Intel or AMD Mainstream/Performance class processor with 8 physical cores, multi-threading activated and automatic overclocking. Compared to the original model, the second version of Pure Rock 2 has undergone many changes. In particular, the shape of the aluminium radiator plates has changed and their density has increased. The new turntable model tends to be less noisy. A completely redesigned tower design will allow you to not worry about compatibility with high memory modules and massive video cards during assembly.

Model overview based on user reviews
The "be quiet! Pure Rock 2" is a highly regarded CPU cooler known for its quiet operation and efficient cooling performance. It features a compact design with a height of 155 mm, making it suitable for smaller cases. Users appreciate its quality build and the inclusion of high-quality thermal paste. The cooler is equipped with a 120 mm fan that operates quietly, even under load, and is capable of handling CPUs with a TDP of up to 150W. However, some users noted that the fan attachment can be tight and the mounting system lacks springs, requiring careful installation. Despite these minor drawbacks, it is praised for its excellent value for money and suitability for mid-range processors like the Ryzen 5 3600 and Intel i5 series. Overall, the Pure Rock 2 is a top choice for those seeking a reliable and quiet cooling solution for their PC builds.

The best option for not very powerful CPUs.

A top cooler for its price, I used it with an old i5 3470 TDP 77, but it is suitable for more modern systems. In idle, the temperature was around 26 degrees, and under load, it did not exceed 55, which I think is an excellent result, considering that the old processor was almost always running at 100 percent load in its old age.

When you hold it in your hands, you immediately feel that this is a premium brand, everything is very precisely fitted, the metal finish is of high quality, and the base is flat. The fan is very quiet. It has low RPM, but it is more than enough for cooling this tower. There are 4 copper heat pipes with direct contact responsible for the contact with the processor. The package includes a branded high-quality thermal paste, which is already applied to the base.

If you are looking for something to cool your PC's central processor, or for a future build, then take a look at this beauty; it has great potential. Of course, if you need to cool something more powerful, you should look at older models, as this one is more suitable for I3 and I5 without the K index.
Efficient Quiet Quality fan Good thermal paste included Universal fan mounting Relatively low height, up to 160mm
There are no brackets for mounting the second fan at the back

Worth its money.

Cool cooler, looks great, 150W TDP is plenty for an i5 10400 with a head. The fan is completely silent, you can only hear how the air passes through the radiator fins ... of course, if you set the speed to the maximum, it and any other will make noise ... so you need to choose the right cooler for your processors! If the TDP of the processor is 65W, multiply by 2 VA and select a cooler, set the speed from 800 to 1200 and you will have silence. And put it on 125w. percent with index K.ey. then it is foolish to hope for silence, but it will pull, but you will have to twist to the maximum!
Efficient, quiet, nice looking and good quality, easy to install (I personally had no problems)
... my personal opinion, the engineers could make it smaller in height! It is enough to lower the radiator fins by 6~7 mm down to the substrate, using the same number of fins, respectively, shorten the tubes from the top by 6~7 mm so it would be more compact and, I think, a little more efficient. )))

Excellent cooler, I took it for the Ryzen 5 3600, it cools perfectly.
Fairly small 155 mm
The fan attachment to the radiator is a bit tight
