Model overview based on user reviews
The Microsoft Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 is a highly customizable and ergonomic gamepad, praised for its long battery life and versatile features such as rear pedals, stick tension adjustment, and interchangeable D-pads and stick caps. Users appreciate the comfortable design and the ability to save custom profiles, enhancing the gaming experience. While some users have noted minor issues like trigger travel switch problems and slight stick play, these are generally manageable. The built-in battery is a subjective downside for those accustomed to replaceable AA batteries, but its long-lasting charge mitigates this concern. Overall, it is recommended for gamers who value customization and are willing to invest in a premium controller, making it a great gift option as well.
Pros

Cons

I recommend it if the price suits you. Also, this is a very good gift for a gamer.

I was a little afraid to buy because of the numerous reviews about the marriage, but I decided to try to get it at a discount for 11,660 rubles. and the controller arrived without a single defect. I love playing first-person shooters on a controller, so I was excited to try out the pedals on the back of the controller. It takes some getting used to, but it ends up being very convenient. Plus, in the Xbox Accessories app, the gamepad can be customized in great detail.
All the advantages are well known from numerous reviews:

- weight;
- rear pedals;
- stick tension adjustment;
- different stick caps;
- trigger depth adjustment;
- different D-pads.

Each of the listed features turned out to be useful and convenient in different conditions during use.
A subjective minus for me is the built-in battery. On a regular controller, I'm used to just changing AA batteries as needed. But the controller holds the charge for a very long time and if you charge it on time, it’s not so critical.

A pretty good and comfortable gamepad
Battery, ergonomics, customization
The trigger travel switch has fallen off, it sometimes crunches but can be fixed by simply blowing into the trigger, and there is a slight play in the sticks.

Esports Elite

For a long time, fans of the Sony PlayStation console have been spreading the stereotype that Microsoft does not know how to make gamepads, and DualShock is the crown of creation and a role model. In fact, 99% of these disputes boiled down to either taste or habit, because not all gamers are comfortable managing asymmetric sticks. But in fact, Microsoft knows how to make great controllers, which is confirmed by the second version of the professional Xbox Elite esports controller.

Interchangeable sticks, triggers and crosspiece

The design of the Xbox Elite 2 is inspired by the original Xbox Series S controller. But as usual, the devil is in the details. In particular, the Xbox Elite 2 is equipped with interchangeable impulse sticks with adjustable pressure. For convenience, the set includes 3 replaceable sets of sticks of different lengths and heights, as well as a special case for storing the gamepad and spare parts. The 8-way D-Pad, which at one time was scolded by everyone and sundry, can now be called a synonym for convenience. And it is also interchangeable, and in the box you can find an analogue in the face of a standard cross.

Additional trigger levers

On the back of the gamepad there are 4 petal buttons with pressure switches. By default, the petals duplicate the functions of the main buttons, but they can be reconfigured to suit you. And you know what? They are also interchangeable, and there are 4 additional smaller petals in the kit. Key settings can be saved and quickly switched between them using the Profile button. The gamepad is connected to a PC or Xbox via cable or over the air (Bluetooth). When connected wirelessly, the built-in battery delivers an impressive 40 hours of battery life. For charging, a carrying case is used, as in modern TWS headphones. Against the background of all that has been said, the only disadvantage of the Xbox Elite 2 is its high price, but in our opinion it is fully justified by the ultimate quality of workmanship, equipment and the status of the gamepad.
