Comfortable. You don’t really need to remember the location of the keys, everything is done reflexively, you don’t need to learn to play with it, everything is clear right away. You can play on your smartphone via Bluetooth. There is also a touchpad (touch). There are no disadvantages. use Sony DualShock 4 month or more i recommend it should buy |
DualShock is DualShock, for the price they're asking it's a great option. Even for 2025-26, many games support it. Connecting to a PC is a bit tedious if you use wireless mode. |
I use it for games of different genres — arcades, platformers, racing, RPGs. It feels comfortable in hand, the shape is familiar, and the buttons press smoothly and predictably. Even during long gaming sessions, my hands don't get tired. It works steadily, nothing sticks, and the sticks behave normally. In racing games, it's convenient to use the triggers, in RPGs, controlling the character feels good, and in arcades, precision is important — and there are no problems with that. The vibration is moderate, not annoying. The touchpad isn’t used often, but when needed, it works correctly. I connect it both to the console and to PC via cable — everything is stable. The charge lasts for several evenings of gaming, it charges as usual, nothing special. Overall, it's a good gamepad for a reasonable price, which fits different games just fine even now. It sits comfortably in your hand, accelerometer, gyroscope, touchpad, good vibration. Overall, a very cool gamepad The problem with them is that the sticks start to drift very quickly. |
For Sony fans
One of the hottest topics among gamers is which console's gamepad is cooler - Xbox or PlayStation? The truth, as is always the case in holivars, lies somewhere in the middle. The Sony PlayStation 4 controller has both strengths and distinct weaknesses, especially when connected to a PC.
Symmetry versus asymmetry
The symmetrical stick layout of the DualShock 4 is an alternative to the asymmetrical layout of the Xbox One S Wireless Controller. Someone likes the first option more (more convenient for sports simulators), someone else likes the second (more convenient for platformers and slashers). But from personal experience I can say that in a week you can easily retrain back and forth.
tricky business
You can praise DualShock 4 for soft and quiet bumpers, and blame for not the easiest connection to a PC. The gamepad can work both in wired mode via USB and wirelessly via Bluetooth, but to connect you will have to use unofficial software - InputMapper or DS4Pad, which emulate the operation of the Xbox controller. And, as is often the case with unofficial software, no one guarantees error-free operation.

It feels great in hand, although I do prefer the Xbox gamepad, I quickly got used to this one. I had a white gamepad which had stick drift. Annoying, but it's a common issue with these gamepads. Unfortunately, they don't use Hall sensors, although there seems to be kits available for stick repair and upgrade. I haven't dealt with this; my black one has been going strong for 8 years.
Overall, it's a good gamepad that is now inexpensive. It's better to get this one than a no-name brand; it'll serve well and provide positive gaming experiences.
