Nitecore Ci2

A compact, multifunctional, dual-channel smart charger for popular sizes of cylindrical batteries of two different chemical systems, with the ability to charge at high current (up to 3A) along with support for fast charging QC 3.0 and PD. It is positioned as a mid-range product aimed at users needing a compact solution for servicing Li-Ion and Ni-MH/Ni-Cd batteries, including high-capacity cells.

As soon as the battery is inserted, the microprocessor analyzes its internal resistance and voltage, determining if it is Li-ion or Ni-MH/Ni-Cd. Depending on the chemistry, either the CC/CV or -dV/dt charging method is used. The Nitecore Ci2 charger excels at charging IMR Li-Ion cells. For smaller batteries (such as AAA or 10440), the current is automatically reduced to prevent overheating and degradation.

The slot design allows the installation of long-form 21700 batteries with protection (up to 76 mm in length). It includes protection against reverse polarity, overheating, and short circuits. Indications are provided by a multi-colored LED system, featuring 8 LED emitters, 4 LEDs per channel. Upon detecting an error, the indicators flash synchronously, and the current supply stops.

Thanks to the USB-C port, users do not need to purchase a separate power adapter for this charger and can use the same adapter and cable used to charge their smartphones or laptops.
