I have been using this type for 10 years and have changed a couple of them. Subjectively, it's one of the best mouse pads on the market. The mouse glides easily. Not as easily as on plastic pads, but not everyone likes the latter because they are cold and hard. There's a wide range of sizes to cater to any need. Over time, it can get dirty, so you need to wash it or clean it periodically. But this is easy to do.
