I bought a 4 TB WD hard drive from Rozetka. It worked for a while and started beeping, knocking and grinding. It didn't read, didn't write and froze. The test program gave a million errors and hundreds of used sectors. I took it under warranty. They sent it to the service center. And from there they called and said it's WORKING We're sending it back to you I read a lot of reviews about Rozetka - I'm not the only one, there are thousands of cases And I realized that they don't care about reputation, the main thing is money And then they send the client away. I don't advise anyone to buy anything expensive from Rozetka. If a warranty case occurs, they'll just send you after the Russian ship Volume Unreliable |
The drive is a pretty good compromise in terms of speed/noise/power consumption. It's quiet in operation, but there's an annoying thud every few seconds, and this thud isn't absorbed by the PC case, but I don't know of any better options. Unfortunately, switching to 4kn mode is quite complicated (WD Hugo). It's worth considering, except in cases where you really need speeds over 200MB/sec or power consumption in standby mode (when the drive isn't spinning) - you should look at other models. I will also buy the same or a similar one from the Pro series as soon as they are available at a good price. Relatively low power consumption and noise, helium, adequate starting currents No logical sector change mode like in Pro versions |

The choice of professionals
The WD Red Plus WD40EFPX 4 TB hard drive provides ideal conditions for server systems with increased and round-the-clock loads. Thanks to 3D Active Balance Plus technology, which includes a two-sided central spindle mount and two-axis rotation adjustment based on sensor readings, the device demonstrates high reliability in RAID arrays. This eliminates unnecessary vibrations and imbalance, especially when installing the drive in network storage with up to 8 bays. This solution guarantees an increased service life of the device. An additional advantage is NASware 3.0 technology, which allows you to achieve maximum performance when working with NAS systems and network equipment from various manufacturers.
Video surveillance without restrictions
WD Red Plus WD40EFPX is suitable for streaming recording from surveillance cameras and broadcasting in online and offline mode with virtually no restrictions. The device is capable of processing several dozen streams simultaneously in both directions, which makes it an excellent choice for both home needs and complex video surveillance systems for small and medium businesses. The use of CMR technology and a built-in 256 MB cache ensures high recording efficiency without gaps and data loss. In general, the model has a balanced power consumption, low heat generation and fully meets the requirements of server systems and video recorders.
