Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro (OV21GL)

The robot vacuum cleaner from the Chinese brand Xiaomi is versatile and designed for both dry and wet cleaning. With a suction power of 20,000 Pa, the gadget effectively handles dust on hard surfaces and removes deeply embedded dirt from carpet fibers. The main turbo brush is supplemented with built-in blades for cutting entangled hair and fur. Wet cleaning is achieved with two rotating disc mops that work under pressure, effectively scrubbing stuck-on stains and tracks.

When moving onto carpets, the robot automatically lifts the wet discs to avoid soaking the fibers and increases suction power for deep cleaning. For ideal cleaning of corners and areas along baseboards, the robot uses FlexiArm technology: both the side brush and one of the cleaning mops can extend sideways, ensuring zero clearance from the edge. A major advantage of the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro is the included multifunctional docking station.

It handles all maintenance tasks: automatic dustbin emptying, refilling the clean water tank, and, most importantly, hygienic mop treatment. The wipes are washed with hot water at a temperature of 75°C, and subsequent drying with hot air prevents mold and unpleasant odors. The large water tanks and a spacious dustbin in the station allow the device to operate autonomously for several weeks.

The navigation system includes a retractable dToF radar (the laser tower can retract into the body, reducing the robot's height to 9.5 cm) and AI Vision technology. The robot is equipped with an RGB camera and 3D-structured light system, allowing it not just to avoid obstacles, but to recognize over 200 types of objects and 47 types of dirt. Thanks to the camera, the device supports real-time remote video streaming via the Mi Home app. In addition, the app offers advanced settings: creating virtual walls, no-go zones, and custom cleaning scenarios for each room.
