Updated in 2023, the MacBook Air line in which, instead of the usual 13-inch ultrabooks, Apple released full-fledged 15-inch laptops with passive cooling. But Apple wouldn't be itself if it did it just like that: according to the company, the MacBook Air 2023 is the thinnest and most compact laptop with a 15-inch display. The thickness of the new model is 11.5 mm, weight 1.51 kg, body dimensions 34x24x1 cm.

This is noticeably smaller than the 16-inch MacBook Pro and only slightly larger than the 13-inch Air. In addition, the 2023 upgrade affected the audio system (six speakers with Dolby Atmos instead of four), the webcam (the microphones got better noise reduction) and the charging port (the new model uses a MagSafe 3 magnetic port). Despite the increased screen area, the maximum battery life is still 18 hours.

All Apple MacBook Air 2023 laptops boast proprietary Liquid Retina screens with a resolution of 2880x1864 pixels, high peak brightness of 500 cd / m2, 60 Hz refresh rate and support for True Tone technology, which automatically adjusts the image based on the intensity of lighting in the room. Excellent computing performance is provided by the updated M2 processor, which is even faster than the M1, which has proven itself to be one of the best mobile platforms in the market as a whole.

Even though it's not a MacBook Pro, the Air 2023 is capable of demanding professional tasks with ease, including photo and video editing (up to 8K ProRes), creating 100+ track orchestrations in conditional Logic Pro, and more. Depending on the configuration, the amount of RAM can be 8, 16 or 24 GB, while the capacity of the built-in SSD starts at 256 GB and rests on more than 2 TB. Traditionally for the series, additional equipment includes a Touch ID fingerprint scanner, a FaceTime webcam, fast charging, a proprietary Force Touch touchpad and a Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.2 wireless module. Traditionally for Apple, the number of ports is limited to a pair of USB4 with Thunderbolt support.
