The MacBook Pro series with a 16-inch screen is the flagship in Apple's 2021 lineup. Accordingly, its representatives are positioned as the most powerful, productive, and fast. All laptops in the family are based on proprietary M1 processors — Max or Pro. They feature 10 computing cores in tandem with a powerful graphics engine (from 16 to 32 cores). This combination provides the Apple MacBook Pro 16 2021 with not only excellent performance and efficiency but also impressive battery life that can reach 21 hours.
All models in the lineup are equipped with a 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR screen with a resolution of 3456×2234 pixels, high peak brightness of 1000 cd/m2, and technologies such as True Tone and ProMotion. The former ensures excellent color reproduction and HDR support, while the latter offers an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The models' "innards" include 16 to 64 GB of RAM and solid-state drives with capacities ranging from 512 to 8192 GB in top configurations. Other advantages of the Pro series include modern interfaces like Wi-Fi 6 and USB4, support for fast charging, the presence of a FaceTime HD 1080p webcam, a fingerprint scanner, and a Magic Keyboard with backlighting.

Great battery life Excellent performance Very pleasant to the touch and ergonomically comfortable MagSafe is a must-have for all laptops Touchpad There are questionable decisions in MacOS, there are interface bugs A bit expensive Quite heavy The screen gets dirty easily and is hard to clean |
My old MacBook Air M1 (Base configuration) broke down. I started looking at new laptops and settled on this model, which has already dropped in price, specifically in this configuration - 32-512. It's perfect for work, watching movies/series with pleasure, and now it's possible to play most games normally)) I recommend it! Price, screen, power, large battery reserve (in our time with outages) You always want the latest))) And so, this is a very decent laptop! |
Amazing laptop! I cringe at the rocks and never again put them on the chairs so that the fans would work. The screen has the greatest sound, the keyboard is even more handy. Productivity Screen Sound Materials Assembly Keyboard Heavy Large power supply. |

Performance – top-notch, no freezes regardless of the tasks I'm doing. You can render videos and run local LLMs, handles everything without issues. The fan almost never turns on, it gets the hottest during charging, but it's not critical.
I'm impressed that you can go an entire month without shutting down or restarting, and it hardly affects productivity.
OS updates – just close the lid in the evening, and in the morning you have an updated version. Sometimes you don't even notice it because visually nothing has changed, and all the windows remain open as they were before the update.
Battery – depending on the tasks, you can expect a full 8-10 hours of battery life (in video/browser mode). If performing resource-intensive tasks, of course, it'll be a bit less. I think no Windows laptop can do that.
Touchpad – very convenient, it's useful even with a mouse connected thanks to the gestures.
Keyboard – comfortable for me, got used to it pretty quickly, I constantly use the function keys.
Sound – pretty good sound from the speakers, not flat, there are basses. However, maybe it could be better (or louder).
Screen – great picture, brightness is sufficient, but for people with poor vision, it might be a bit challenging because the font and elements are quite small. Of course, there are adjustment options. The downside is the glossy surface that's very hard to clean. I forgot about the "notch" after a few days, it doesn't bother at all.
