Worthy of mention is one of the first representatives of the ultrabook family. It was replaced long ago by the Apple MacBook 12”, but it is still popular. Its main advantage is the price and impressive battery life.

Screen

The display is based on TN+film technology and with a diagonal of 13.3” has a resolution of 1440x900 pixels – an excellent matrix for everyday work. The eyes do not get tired of it so quickly, and the inversion is minimal. Alas, in the bright sun it glares quite strongly.

Iron

It is equipped with Core i5 5350U processors with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz in conjunction with an integrated graphics card Intel HD Graphics 6000. SSD drives are available in 128, 256 and 512 GB. It won't break performance records, but MacOS optimization is really amazing. With a simple editing of Full HD video or full-fledged work with photos, he handles with a bang. Unlike more advanced counterparts, it is not devoid of the usual USB connector and card reader, and there is also a second-generation Thunderbolt.

Design

The design of this family of Apple computers is still relevant. A one-piece metal case, a screen covered with glass, and most importantly a luminous “apple” and all this is assembled with high quality. The keyboard is, in our humble opinion, one of the best on the market. The trackpad is comfortable, well calibrated, but unnecessarily loud.

Outcome

Battery life breaks all records. In typewriter mode and medium brightness, it can work up to 12 hours, and with an average load up to 10, which is not bad.

All in all, it's a great ultrabook for macOS connoisseurs, and it's also the most affordable MacBook to date. It is not without a MagSafe connector, and if you touch the charging wire, it simply comes unfastened, and the computer does not fly off the table. The screen, made using TN + film technology, with a low resolution (1440x900 pixels), in conjunction with balanced hardware, gives it an impressive battery life.
