The model is not bad for its price range. However, if you can add or save up a little more, I would recommend considering the mid-price segment of gaming laptops. 1. The screen is good (for a laptop at this price). Thin bezels. Eyes don't get tired during long use. BUT! If they added at least 10% to the maximum brightness, it would be absolutely fantastic. 2. Pleasant key travel. Even backlight. Several brightness modes for the keyboard backlighting. 3. Win10 loads in 16 seconds and programs open lightning fast. 4. There's the possibility to add a RAM stick. I haven't done it yet, but the option is there, which is definitely a plus (some budget gaming laptops from other manufacturers don't have this capability). 5. All ports are on the left side, which is convenient, at least for right-handed people. 6. All hot air is expelled from the back and does not cause discomfort during use. 7. Price. 1. The most annoying and incomprehensible thing is the touchpad. It noticeably rattles, feels very "cheaply" made, and is immediately off-putting. Fortunately, I practically don't use it, so it's something I can live with. One might think it could be a manufacturing defect specific to my unit. NO! I opened two more sealed laptops of the same model, and this "cheapness" is present in them too. 2. The sound from the built-in speakers is flat and ordinary. Nothing remarkable. 3. Under heavy load of the graphics and central processors for more than an hour, the battery starts to drain. Slowly, but it does drain while the laptop is plugged into the 220V outlet. The power supply can't handle powering both the GPU and CPU while simultaneously charging the battery. They could have anticipated this issue, but they didn't... 4. And when the CPU and GPU are under load, it gets rather noisy. 5. Plastic case. No frills. 6. Over time, small light leaks have appeared in the lower corners of the screen. They are not noticeable during regular use, but in dark scenes, whether in a movie or a game, they stand out.  Maks: use Asus TUF Gaming FX705DY few months |
