Aggressive styling and ready for extreme adventures

The Casio G-Shock Rangeman GPR-H1000-1 belongs to the G-Shock Rangeman family and combines traits of classic wrist accessories with the capabilities of a smartwatch. The model immediately stands out with its large dimensions (53 mm diameter) and rugged look: a resin case with massive protective guards is complemented by metal inserts. This design not only underscores a masculine character but also ensures reliability in extreme conditions. The watch is protected against shocks, dirt, and moisture, and the WR200M water resistance rating allows it to be used for swimming and diving.

A competitor to smartwatches

The model’s functionality is impressive. Its toolkit includes a compass, altimeter, thermometer, heart rate monitor, pulse oximeter, and a GPS module. The latter synchronizes the exact time, logs coordinates, and lets you collect detailed training data: pace, speed, elevation gain, and more. However, with active GPS and heart rate sensor use, the battery discharges in roughly 14 hours.

The watch uses Polar algorithms for health and training analysis and supports data export to Strava. In addition to sports features, there are classic ones as well: four alarms, a timer, world time, moon phases, and tide graphs.

Quartz watch with backlight and solar charging

Power is provided by a rechargeable battery with solar charging support, which significantly extends autonomy—up to 23 months in power-saving mode. The display is based on transflective technology: it’s easy to read in sunlight and consumes minimal energy. Mineral glass protects the dial from damage, and the Super Illuminator LED backlight ensures comfortable reading in the dark.

If the watch isn’t synchronized with a smartphone, timekeeping accuracy is handled by the 3554 quartz movement with minimal deviation—no more than 15 seconds per month.
