Evolution

G.Skill Ripjaws V is the second generation of DDR4 memory from G.Skill, and it is clear that the company has listened to the feedback and criticism from customers. The new series is more affordable, faster and with a less sticky heatsink. Ripjaws V 16GB is the best option for a compact build that will showcase great performance.

Overclocking up to 3600 MHz

The Ripjaws V immediately excelled in our tests without any overclocking, beating several 3200MHz kits. You should be able to hit 3600MHz with a simple power surge and timings up to 20. You can try to go higher, but you will most likely run into some stability issues. Here it is already better to look towards the G.Skill Trident Z with more massive and efficient radiators. Anyway, in terms of price-quality ratio, the G.Skill Ripjaws V is hard to beat.

Aggressive gaming design

Also, modding fans will be attracted by an interesting memory design with large and aggressive red radiator ridges. The only thing is that the height of the modules is 40 mm, so there may be compatibility issues with overall CPU coolers. Recall that the height of the printed circuit board itself reaches 31 mm.
