An inexpensive and reliable entry-level motherboard that is part of the popular 2023 Gigabyte Ultra Durable line. Like all brothers in the series, it is designed with the expectation of an extended service life, and when designing it, the manufacturer used double mounts for RAM modules, compacted printed circuit board textolite. Gigabyte A520M K is made in a compact micro-ATX format, based on the entry-level AMD A520 chipset and equipped with the most popular socket for the "red" platform - AM4.

Most of the processors released by AMD from 2017 to 2022 are friends with him. The only exceptions are the latest Ryzen 7000 series chips that work with AM5 system logic. The system is powered by a hybrid subsystem with 6 power phases, but without the usual VRM cooling. The board layout includes 2 slots for DDR4 5100 MHz memory with support for XMP profiles (maximum 64 GB). The Realtek gigabit LAN controller is responsible for processing network traffic.

To install drives, there are four classic SATA3 connectors and one M.2 connector for compact SSDs. One video card slot. An HDMI 2.1 port is placed on the rear panel for connecting the monitor directly to the video card built into the processor (if any). Thus, the Gigabyte A520M can be seen as an inexpensive workhorse for an entry-level home or office PC, the owner of which saved on a discrete graphics card.
