Gigabyte's Ultra Durable line includes inexpensive entry-level motherboards, which were saved wisely. They are designed for installation in home PCs, office computers and workstations, from which reliability is primarily required, not brains and muscles.

As a result, some models of 2018 and earlier release years could do without a radiator for cooling power circuits, but at the same time they necessarily adhered to the principles of Ultra Durable. They declare the mandatory use of high-quality audio capacitors, an anti-noise screen, pin connectors with a solid contact, reinforced fibreglass, double latches for RAM modules and similar useful things.

However, in recent years, the difference between frankly low-cost and cool motherboards has been blurring, which is perfectly visible in this series. The most popular options in this line are the Gigabyte Z390 D and Gigabyte B450M S2H V2 boards. The first one is based on the Intel Z390 overclocker chipset, equipped with 4 slots for installing high-speed DDR4 RAM and one M.2 slot for a fast NVMe drive. That is, it is a completely reliable foundation for a fairly powerful gaming or working computer with a Core i7 processor, a performant graphics card and a memory reserve of 32 – 64 GB of RAM.

In turn, the Gigabyte B450M S2H V2 costs around $ 60, but thanks to a thoughtful layout, an adequate power supply system and an AMD B450 chipset, it is also able to faithfully serve in a relatively powerful computer for a variety of purposes. Of course, you can't really play with overclocking on it, but the power of the latest generations of Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 7 processors allows you to fully do without such tricks.
