Model overview based on user reviews
The AMD Ryzen 5 Vermeer series, particularly the 5600X and 5600 OEM models, is highly praised for its performance, stability, and efficiency. Users appreciate its cold operation and powerful performance, making it an excellent choice for gaming and work tasks. The processor is noted for its high FPS in games and compatibility with various GPUs, such as the RTX 3060 and 3070. While some users mention the high price and the need for a better cooling solution due to the stock cooler's limitations, the overall sentiment is positive, highlighting its value for money and suitability for both gamers and content creators. Some users experienced issues with temperature sensitivity and BIOS settings, but these are generally outweighed by the processor's benefits. Overall, the Ryzen 5 Vermeer is recommended for those seeking a reliable and efficient CPU for mid to high-end builds.

Replacing my old R5-2600, I got an excellent, powerful processor, the 5600X. The processor fit perfectly with my Asus TUF B450-Plus Gaming motherboard (Bios:3802). It's fully compatible with the Asus TUF-RTX3070-O8G-V2-Gaming LHR graphics card and the RAM 4x8=32GB (3200MHz XMP). The cooling system installed is the Enermax T50 AXE 120 mm Black with Arctic MX-4 thermal paste. I've included a couple of test photos. If you have the chance, go for it. Wishing everyone peaceful skies and a great evening!

This one is worth its money.

On the Aorus B550M Pro motherboard, I put a Ryzen 5 5600x processor under the 400 din tower at idle 30-35 degrees in 40-50 games, the percent is quite cold and smart, I don’t regret taking it, before that there was Ryzen 3 3300x percent 4 cores but it was warming up in simple 38-45, in games 50-66 with a 400 din tower, thermal paste MX-4 Artik.
Performance, cool, nimble.
Probably the price, but it's worth it.

good model, I liked it

Cyberpunk stopped slowing down paired with radeon rx590. But the temperatures began to reach from 50 to 90 on the stock cooler. Changed to dropsy kraken x53 and steel up to 60. And in idle time 35-40. True, it is worth considering that this is a mini itx nzxt h200i case and an asus b450i motherboard, where the bios is not yet very stable (maybe you need to play around with overclocking to lower the voltage, otherwise the motherboard automatically overestimates it). If anyone is interested, gskill flare x 3200 RAM with cl14 timings

Meet the Ryzen 5600X: 6 cores, 12 threads, turbo boost up to 4.6 GHz

Let's start with the basics. The younger Ryzen 5 5600X is equipped with six multi-threaded Zen 3 cores, 32MB of L3 cache and a dual-channel DDR4-3200 controller. Its base frequency is 3.7 GHz, which can be boosted up to 4.6 GHz. The nominal TDP of the Ryzen 5 5600X is 65W. The official price is $299.

Impressive single-core performance

According to the first tests, the advantage of the new 6-core processor over the Ryzen 5 3600X chip in different scenarios is 15 – 25%, in some cases reaching a 40% difference. For example, in the Cinebench R20 single-threaded test, the novelty scored 600 points, which is an excellent result in itself, and it is 17% higher than the results of its predecessor. In other non-gaming benchmarks related to pure computing power (math, cryptography, data processing), the younger Vermeer is able to effectively compete with the 8-core Intel Core i9-9900K. On the one hand, this is damn cool, on the other hand, the prices at the start, plus or minus, are the same. If we talk about games, then the new product shows more than a 15 percent increase in performance compared to the Ryzen 5 3600X.

All juices are already squeezed out

With overclocking, the situation is ambiguous and depends on luck. The guys from ITHardware managed to get the frequency of 4.8 GHz across all cores without any problems when the voltage increased to 1.27 V. With a slight increase in voltage, the processor floated and further overclocking turned out to be unstable. But the Poles from TechPowerUp were less fortunate, they were able to squeeze out only 4.6 GHz from the Ryzen 5 5600X across all 6 cores. To do this, we had to increase the voltage to 1.45 V. That is, this is not so much overclocking as a stable turbo boost. Power consumption is matched to the level of older models. It seems that, like last time, the new Ryzen are working to the limit. To be fair, all manipulations took place while cooling with a standard cooler.
