Model overview based on user reviews
The Intel Core i7 Skylake is a reliable processor, praised for its flawless performance and low operating temperatures. Users appreciate its ability to effortlessly run modern games and maintain stability over long periods. However, some reviews mention potential temperature issues, noting that it can reach 60-70 degrees after extended use, and suggest improvements like applying thermal paste properly or using liquid metal for better cooling. While some find it expensive, especially compared to newer models like Ryzen, others are satisfied with its performance, especially for those building used systems. Overall, it holds up well over time, with users reporting consistent performance even after several years.

This is a disaster, get a 10th generation core i3, it will serve you faithfully.

Effortlessly runs all modern games
In half a year, expect 60-70 degrees on the desktop, and after two years of active use, expect 80 degrees in a pixel game.

14nm gum under the lid (temperature up to 90), expensive, only 4 cores, THERE'S NO POINT IN I7 SKYLAKE FOR 20K WHEN THERE'S RYZEN
Learn to apply thermal paste properly and periodically clean your PC.

I don't even know what to nitpick about here. Unless with the release of the 10th generation, these have become unnecessary. Perhaps only for assembling a used build. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with the processor. It’s what I expected, even more. I don't know what they're talking about with those 90 degrees after a year. There's nothing like that, the processor works 10-12 hours a day in programs, 3-4 of those hours in games. And it's been like this for 4 years. There’s been nothing close to 90 degrees. Even in a stress test, it showed 60 degrees.
Works flawlessly. Low temperatures.
