Great processor! I bought it about 3 years ago, and during all this time, I haven't been able to load it fully with any program (except stress tests). I haven't even overclocked it, because why overclock when it handles everything effortlessly? Very powerful. They are missing, except the fact that it's a bit expensive. I bought the I7 8700K and I have no regrets, the performance boost compared to the laptop I7 3610QM is very noticeable, everything works much faster. The temperature is also very pleasing, 28-30 degrees idle and 40-55 under load, but that's with the top cooler Be quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 and thermal paste NOCTUA NT-H1, not sure how it will be with other coolers, but that's how it is for me. The flagship processor of the Coffee Lake generation received not only the advantages of the Core i5-8600K, namely, high frequencies and support for Hyper-Threading. In total, we get 6 cores, 12 threads and frequencies that range from stock 3.7 GHz to 4.7 GHz in a turbo boost. Plus — an unlocked multiplier, which means that 5 GHz can be obtained with relatively little blood. To do this, however, you need to purchase a high-quality power supply, as well as a very good cooler — the processor comes without any cooling. We recommend water, the choice of which we will pleasantly please.
Speeds on the verge of fantasy
In single-threaded tasks, the 8700K is unmatched. Of course, to achieve maximum frequencies, it is recommended to install it on the Z370 chipset that supports overclocking. The processor also supports DDR4 2666 MHz memory and is equipped with an integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 graphics core, which is enough for basic tasks.

For games, this is the number one choice, since this model has both a high frequency and numerous threads. As the basis for a workstation or streamer computer, the 8700K will also do just fine.
