Model overview based on user reviews
The Intel Core i5 Alder Lake series offers a range of processors that are well-regarded for their powerful performance and good price-to-quality ratio. Users appreciate the 10 cores and 16 threads in models like the i5-12600KF, which handle multitasking and gaming efficiently. The processors support DDR5 memory and show excellent benchmark results. However, they require effective cooling due to their tendency to heat up during intensive tasks. Some models lack integrated graphics, which might be a downside for users without a dedicated GPU. Despite these minor drawbacks, the series is praised for its overclocking capabilities and suitability for mid-range gaming systems and workstations. Overall, the Intel Core i5 Alder Lake processors are a solid choice for those seeking a balance of performance and affordability.

But the price for it is still too high, wait for the drop to 23x and feel free to take the oem version

No matter what anyone says in defense of the Reds, they still lag behind Intel. And take cases with 200mm fans for it if you are going to drive
the 1060 6GB can handle 100% load without any problems, as it "heats" up no higher than 40°C and usage doesn't exceed 30% across all cores. The 3060 is twice as powerful. You can estimate its potential and that's without overclocking. Water cooling is NOT NEEDED for it! Buy thermal paste like MX-4 and update it every six months to a year.
Windows didn’t understand for a long time what you were trying to sell it and stubbornly showed 2 cores 4 threads, disabling the video core through the device manager solved the problem

I recommend, really cool for a moderate budget.

Everything suits me in the i5-12500. You can take i5-12600 (max frequency is slightly higher).
UHD770. Powerful enough. During the toughest stress tests, it did not overheat above 87 degrees when loading all cores at 100%. Cooler Thermalright Assassin King 120 Mini. I added another 120 fan in front of the radiator to it.
The price is a little high at the time of purchase (June 22, but now it has become even more expensive.)

Take it, this is an analogue of the 5 5600x with 10 cores

For those who think "why do we need PCIe x16 5.0", I explain: for video cards with small amounts of memory. There are motherboards with DDR4
10 cores, 6 high-performance and 4 low-power ones, did not disappoint.
Why does the i5 12600k cost more than the i5 12600kf, dear folks? There will be a hassle with Windows 11.

Simplified Alder Lake die processor

Unlike the new Core i7 and Core i9 chips, the Core i5 processors are based on a smaller, simplified Alder Lake die. Because of this, our test Core i5-12600K only has 6 high-performance cores on board, supporting 12 logical threads and 4 additional power-efficient cores. The former can be accelerated to a frequency of 4.9 GHz, the ceiling of the latter is 3.6 GHz. The main rival of the novelty from the AMD camp is the 12-thread Ryzen 5 5600X processor based on the Zen 3 architecture.

Slightly faster Ryzen 5 5600X

In the synthetic CPU-Z and Cinebench tests, the new product from Intel is literally half a body away from the Ryzen 5 5600X - in most measurements, the advantage is 2-3%. In games, the Core i5-12600K and Ryzen 5 5600X show almost the same performance. The level of energy consumption also differs little. And it's great, because the older Core i9 from the Alder Lake family turned out to be seriously voracious. All things considered, the new Intel chip could cause a lot of excitement among gamers and people who need a fairly powerful and modern PC for work.

New processor - new motherboard

Prices will play a key role in this confrontation between Ryzen 5 and Core i5. Now in east european retail for both processors they ask plus or minus the same $400. In favor of Ryzen is the fact that this processor can be used with motherboards on the good old socket AM4. To work with the Core i5-12600K, you will need a new motherboard on the LGA1700 socket. And they are expensive. As for the use of DDR5 memory, so far there is no particular use from it - most synthetic tests in comparison with DDR4 received an increase in performance by literally 2 – 3%. For a Core i5-level processor, this is now superfluous.
