Stylish closed-back headphones with a wired connection and a built-in microphone. They are positioned as a product of the middle price category, capable of satisfying the demanding consumer. It is the third generation of the popular Marshall Major line. They have a specific and easily recognizable "rock and roll" corporate design and impeccably high build quality. Carefully thought out, practical and foldable design provides a comfortable level of pressure, which guarantees good passive noise isolation.
Do not cause severe discomfort during prolonged wear. Equipped with high-quality 40 mm dynamic drivers capable of fully reproducing a wide frequency range from 20 to 20,000 Hz. Thanks to this, they can be used to listen to high-quality audio recordings of a wide variety of musical genres and directions, including excellent performance when playing rock music. To control the volume and the playback process, they are equipped with a convenient branded joystick. 7 months of use. Durable. Overall, pleasant sound and materials. Purchased for 5k. A big plus for the cool cable and two 3.5 jacks on the headphones themselves. Very comfortable pads. Very flexible construction. They fold into a very convenient size. Not a single scratch. Visibly, at least. Maybe you could find them under a microscope, but durability is just 9/10. To make them 10/10, they would need to be made nuclear-proof, bulletproof, etc. sometimes in some songs there can be wheezing. but I’ve heard this in more expensive headphones too. |
I took it for training in the gym. The bluetooth is great, the cord doesn’t interfere, your hands are free, your ears don’t put pressure on you, and they look beautiful and strict. I'm very pleased. Made well and of high quality. And yet - it charges quickly and holds a charge for a VERY long time, which is especially nice. Marshall is Marshall! Ideal for an active user. I recommend it to everyone who loves sports and an active lifestyle Have not found!!!! |
Bought from foxtrot. Comfortable, compact headphones that are very pleased. They are very comfortable and convenient to wear. Headphones fold compactly. Sound, case, quality, assembly, compactness, microphone, convenient cable. The price, and the fact that there is no cover in the kit, you have to wear it in the original box. |
Long live rock and roll!
The legendary company Marshall entered the headphone market more than 6 years ago and since then has updated the Major line three times. And as they say in every second review, it was the third version of the headphones that became the quintessence of the company's signature rock and roll style: almost all the elements are covered with artificial leather, the famous logo flaunts on the cups, and the twisted wire with a shiny metal connector seems to have just been pulled out of a guitar combo. This retro aesthetic is especially cool in headphones with brown leather and headboards.
Work on bugs
The company clearly addressed complaints about the problem areas of the second version of the Major and made the design of the headphones more durable. The foldable design makes it possible to carry the headphones in a bag, but it would be better to provide an additional cover for this. The cable, as in previous models, is removable, so in which case it can be replaced without any problems. The ear cushions have become slightly higher and, at the same time, retained elastic softness. At first glance, the fit is quite comfortable, but still harsh, so wearing them for more than two hours will be problematic — it becomes hard not to notice the pressure on the ears.
Lighter and more versatile sound
By the nature of the sound, Marshall Major III retained the common musical style with its predecessors, but at the same time it sounds a little more interesting and brighter. They have the lowest subbass range well defined, the lower frequencies are emphasized, but do not stick out of the spectrum. The middle is flat, without peaks. The treble is boosted rather than muffled like previous models, which breaks expectations a bit from a typical rock sound. The sound as a whole turns out to be light and universal, only a small hump at 3 kHz confuses, due to which sibilants and other troubles of high frequencies appear in some compositions.

Materials 8.5/10. There's always room for improvement. The 4th version got worse in this aspect, in my opinion.
Sound 7.5/10
Rated relative to the price
Purchased in Baku. The selection here is limited. The only comparison options were JBL and Beats. I hate Beats. Besides, at this price, they are hard to find. And overall, Beats sound even worse, considering the huge price difference. By the way, I compared them to the PRO model. Beats used to be a flagship model. Now I don't know. A friend has been using them for at least 6 years. They were well-broken in... As for JBL, at this price, they might sound somewhere comparable (6-7/10), but they are made from materials found in a garbage bin. No comparison. Overall, Beats and JBL are bassier. That's a downside. If everything is clear with Beats (they're bottom headphones), then JBL at this price didn't try to make decent sound and there's little besides bass. And even the bass isn't the most expensive... In Marshalls, everything is more refined. But if you find AKG 361 or ATH-M40x on discount at this price, think three times and compare carefully. Here I would choose AKG.
