Marshall is a brand that cannot be treated indifferently. It's not even the highest musical division, it's the elite. For this reason, we could not ignore the sensational Monitor headphones.
vintage classic
Marshall's distinctive vintage design is instantly recognizable. For those who doubt the affiliation, the company logo flaunts on the bowls, leaving no doubt. But not everything is as comfortable as it is beautiful, and some users notice rapid fatigue after an hour and a half of using the headphones, due to an excessively tight fit, implemented in order to provide effective passive noise isolation. You can't sit in these all day. But the headphones are compact, conveniently folded and have a soft bag-case included.
Connectivity
I liked the performance of the cable. It is removable, thick and reliable, and due to the fact that it is partially twisted, the length of 3 metres does not seem large. That is, if necessary, the cable is stretched by 3 metres, but in the normal state it takes less than one. It is noteworthy that it can be connected to any of the bowls, each has a connector that works, including the output. That is, you can connect other headphones. Also on the cable there is a remote control with one button to control calls and tracks.
Sound features
Despite the name Monitor, the headphones have nothing to do with monitor headphones, this is such a marketing ploy and nothing more, because the resistance here is small (42 Ohm), and an adapter for a 6.3 mm Jack for connecting to serious equipment is not provided in the kit.
However, the sound is quite decent. Not perfect, but solid and legible at all frequencies, with a slight emphasis on the low and mid ranges. Without a doubt, the best headphones will open on Hi-Fi players in lossless formats, although they will play without problems on the simplest smartphones. For those who want a softer and more diffuse sound, the model provides for the use of felt liners, which are easy to put between the speakers and ear pads. The latter are conveniently removed for this, holding on magnets. But there are no earbuds in the kit, so you have to buy them separately and fork out another $ 10 to those 200 that the headphones themselves cost.
For all its strengths and weaknesses, the Marshall Monitor is the undisputed leader in the world of portable Hi-Fi sound. With his inimitable charisma and a multi-million army of fans.
