The first-born in the Moto line, who got metal armor (albeit diluted in the upper and lower parts of the body with plastic inserts for antennas) and a chip from MediaTek (octa-core Helio P10). In conjunction with 4 GB of RAM, the processor handles with multitasking with a bang. The permanent memory of the smartphone is 32 GB. If this figure ceases to satisfy the needs of the user, instead of the second SIM card, you can install an external microSD drive. The front panel of the Motorola Moto M Dual is occupied by a 5.5-inch FullHD display, part of the space of which is taken up by the on-screen navigation keys. On the back of the case there is a fingerprint scanner and an advanced camera with a resolution of 16 MP and a maximum aperture of f / 2.0, complemented by a dual LED flash. On top o...f that, the manufacturer equipped his offspring with a complete set of wireless modules (including an NFC chip) and a two-way USB Type-C port. And the task of providing power to the smartphone is entrusted to the battery with a capacity of 3050 mAh.

In a new guise

The new Moto M smartphone is very different from previous Motorola solutions. Firstly, this is the first and so far the only metal smartphone in the Moto line. Before that, plastic, rubber, and even ballistic nylon were used, but never metal. Secondly, for the first time, Motorola engineers trusted a processor from MediaTek. There used to be Qualcomm, Texas Instruments and even such exotics in the mobile segment as NVIDIA, but MediaTek - never before.

For workaholics

The eight-core Helio P10 chip with Mali-T830 MP2 graphics, of course, at low or even medium graphics settings, pulls three-dimensional mobile games, but you definitely can’t call it a gamer’s dream. But for active work with a smartphone in multitasking mode with frequent switching between several applications, it fits perfectly. Multitasking is also facilitated by as much as 4 GB of RAM: applications will remain running in memory for a long time, and not close automatically, as often happens on smartphones with a small amount of RAM.

Cleanliness and tidiness

The 16-megapixel camera is carried over directly from the predecessor Moto G4 Plus. She gave good pictures before, and with the modified software, the photo quality became even better. The main reason to buy a Motorola smartphone, as before, remains the virgin Android OS without any weighty graphical shells. The only pity is that the version of Android is still an old 6.0 (probably, a firmware update will be released over time).
