Model overview based on user reviews
The Philips 245B1 24" monitor is highly praised for its clear and vibrant image quality, with a matte screen that effectively reduces glare. Users appreciate the IPS panel's wide viewing angles and the monitor's ergonomic features, such as the swivel and height adjustment. The uniform backlighting and absence of dead pixels are frequently highlighted, although one user did encounter dead pixels. The monitor's built-in speakers are considered adequate but not exceptional, and some users desire more intuitive control options, possibly through software. Overall, the Philips 245B1 is recommended for its excellent picture quality and versatile design, making it suitable for gaming, movies, and work.

excellent monitor
The built-in functions are convenient, but they always need to be turned on through the monitor. The brightness adjustment is good but cannot reduce the monitor's brightness to the minimum. There might be an app or program for adjusting the monitor through the computer instead of directly, which would be more convenient. The built-in speakers are good, but they are only an addition.
the matte coating is sufficiently non-reflective in the sun, even though I sit by the window. It has a compact swivel mechanism that allows the monitor to be turned to a vertical position in both directions, which may be important for some.
the inability to control the monitor functions from the keyboard, and it's unclear what each control is responsible for; it would be nice to have an app with a detailed explanation of each function and its possibilities for beginners.

So far I like it - the image is cool, the main thing is a clear picture, good backlight and no dead pixels, so I was lucky with a specific instance, the frames are narrow, everything looks as clear as possible, smoothly, without any troubles in the monitor. I advise - it completely suits me.

A very decent monitor from the budget segment

I give the monitor a solid 5, because in the main evaluation criteria it passed 5. I am satisfied with the monitor. Despite the sale of the TV/monitors/audio division to a Chinese corporation, the Philips monitor is well made. I was especially surprised by the quality of illumination, uniformity, and lack of glare. Monicas are apparently tested well at the factory: there are no complaints about defects in many reviews, customers receive monitors just like me, without any problems at all.
Even backlighting, without defects, the panel provides an awesome color out of the box. Very pleased with the presence sensor operation. Got used to the menu very quickly. In 3 minutes, all settings were learned, and working with the buttons is intuitive. 0 backlights and came without dead pixels. Everything is extremely good. The factory image without profiles is quite impressive. The panel is worth its price. Remarkable stand. It's almost entirely metal. And it has something like a "soft-close" mechanism when rotating the monitor. How they implemented this in such a compact size remains unclear to me.
The LightSensor reduces brightness rather modestly. Software only for Windows. And even this software looks awkward with ugly fonts. The Russian localization of the monitor's menu items is lacking in several places. The built-in sound connection is not obvious: it seems to be there (speakers at the top of the monitor), but it only works via HDMI. 2 Watts. It would be better if these speakers weren't here at all, making the monitor $5 cheaper.
Glow.
