A mid-range desktop NAS server designed for small and medium businesses, as well as for users who need a reliable and productive server to work with data, video files and virtual machines. The model is equipped with a mid-range Intel Celeron J6412 processor (4 cores, frequency 2 - 2.6 GHz) and 8 GB of RAM (expandable), providing high performance in a variety of modes, including video surveillance, file server or multimedia center.

The QNAP TS-453E-8G supports up to four 3.5" hot-swappable HDDs and two M.2 SSDs with caching support and Qtier technology, which automatically distributes data between the SSD and HDD depending on file activity. The storage configuration supports various RAID modes: 0, 1, 5, 6, 10. Network capabilities include two high-speed 2.5GbE ports, four USB ports for peripheral devices, and two additional HDMI outputs (v1.4) with 4K video support for working with multimedia applications and video surveillance services.

Additionally, the server supports the QVR Elite AI toolkit and Intel OpenVINO, which simplifies the operation of video surveillance systems using automatic face recognition. The NAS server can run two operating systems: the main QTS is more suitable for basic management, and QuTS hero with the ZFS file system provides advanced data protection with additional features deduplication, compression and integrity checking.
