In 2020, Razer has released the third version of its legendary BlackWidow keyboard, which seems to have no room for improvement. If the second version added a backlight and a macro system, then the third update brought with it a palm rest (it can be removed if it interferes) and a separate volume control wheel so as not to be distracted by the speaker dashboard during a virtual battle.

In terms of characteristics and tactile sensations, they strongly echo the blue switches from Cherry, even surpassing them in some ways. For example, the manufacturer still promises 80 million activations for failure and increased resistance to moisture and dust.

Convenient software for customizing keys

Otherwise, this is still the same classic model, in which there is more offhand and nothing to improve. It’s built like a tank, the keycaps are great, Razer Chroma’s RGB lighting has improved noticeably over time, and the deep customization software has been brought to mind in the last generation. Working with macros is nowhere easier, you can “hang” the desired key combination on almost every button, add secondary functions to them using HyperShift and combine these settings into separate game profiles.
