The device boasts a high-precision sensor, a large number of buttons, and an advanced 4D wheel with an accelerated scrolling mode. It's important to note that this is a classic wired mouse version, which also has siblings like the G502 X Lightspeed with hybrid connectivity and the G502 X Plus with hybrid connectivity and built-in lighting.
Nevertheless, the Logitech G502 X computer mouse can be a great purchase for users interested in computer gaming, regardless of the genre. The device features a high-precision Hero optical sensor that allows resolution adjustment within the range of 100 — 25600 DPI, and it consistently processes data at accelerations up to 40 G and mouse movement speeds up to 400 ips.
Thanks to an abundance of programmable buttons (9 in total), the device can serve as an excellent assistant in almost any game genre and a great tool for use in various applications, spreadsheets, editing programs, etc. The Lightforce optical-mechanical switches are characterized by high precision and an excellent durability resource. Despite all these features, the device weighs only 89 g (note that this is the lightest modification among its updated family counterparts).

Logitech G502 X is the evolution of the iconic G502 line, which has traditionally set high standards for gaming mice. Compared to previous versions, this model is noticeably lighter, faster in response, and has even better ergonomics. It is designed for gamers who value precision, customization to their needs, and top performance at high DPI. High-precision sensor – one of the best optical sensors on the market, ensures smooth and stable operation without jitter or loss of tracking. Programmable buttons – 11 buttons with flexible macros and profiles for different genres. Logitech G HUB software – powerful customization of DPI, buttons, profiles, and gaming macros. The software — G HUB is really functional, but sometimes it feels like "heavy" software and isn't very beginner-friendly. The cable, unfortunately, is not in paracord sheath but is just a regular rubber one. It's quite flexible, but in 2025, for a wired mouse of this level, you'd want to see something softer. All my life (starting from the MX518), I've used Logitech mice, only taking a brief detour with ROCCAT (and regretting it). After two years of use, the G502 X has shown none of the typical mouse problems, like double-click (they promise this won't happen due to the "LIGHTFORCE" optical-mechanical switches), phantom scrolls, etc. Every button works, every wheel scrolls and clicks. Overall, it's quite a high-quality mouse, but not without flaws. I want to discuss those. The first flaw: the very loud click of the main buttons. It sounds "metallic" and quite loud. The scroll mode switching (normal/Infinite scroll) is also very loud. Another issue related to the wheel is the inability to use MOUSE3 (wheel click) in "Infinite Scroll" mode—it scrolls when you press it. This is the only reason I don't use this mode, as I'm used to opening links in a new window with MOUSE3. Other minor drawbacks include large gaps that collect dirt and the absence of any lighting, even minimal. The mouse looks very plain, and if I had to choose a new one now, I would go for the more expensive G502 X Plus, as it has lighting and a detachable cable. But in everything else—it's top-notch. The shape of the G502 is very comfortable. I would say it's exemplary comfortable. The G502 X is the best gaming mouse possible to make. Previously, I used the previous version of the mouse, specifically the G502. Logitech has excellently updated this model. If previously the weight of the mouse was 121g, in the G502X it became 89g. Additionally, the top extra buttons became larger, making them easier to press. Comfort and ergonomics
The Logitech G502 X is an improved version of the popular G502 Hero, with a lightweight frame and new optical-mechanical switches that offer long life, excellent responsiveness, and minimal latency when pressing. These switches are quieter than those used in the G502 Hero. The mouse retains the familiar design with asymmetrical buttons and a small protrusion for the right thumb, making it comfortable for long gaming sessions.

Like the original, attention is paid to functionality: the Logitech G502 X is equipped with a large number of programmable buttons, allowing you to save up to 5 profiles with individual settings. The scroll wheel supports two modes - precision and free. The latter is especially convenient for quickly scrolling through long documents or web pages. Switching between modes occurs with a quick click on the wheel itself. The HERO sensor with a maximum resolution of 25,600 DPI provides stable accuracy and can change the polling rate from 125 to 1000 Hz.
Far from the lightest model on sale
Despite all the advantages, by modern standards the Logitech G502 X is quite heavy (89 g), which may be a disadvantage for players who prefer lighter devices, especially for fast shooters. In addition, some users express dissatisfaction with the use of a plastic wheel instead of a metal one, but this is rather a subjective opinion. Otherwise, this is one of the best wired mice on the market, and thanks to the use of a wired connection, its cost remained at the level of the original. For comparison, its wireless counterpart, the Logitech G502 X Lightspeed, costs one and a half times more.
