The Samsung 980 PRO Family 1TB Internal SSD is a high performance SSD in the upper price range. It is made in a compact M.2 2280 form factor, has a light weight (about 7 grams) and small dimensions (22x80 mm), which allows it to be installed even in thin laptops. It is recommended to use the product in desktop or laptop computers with high requirements for data processing speed.
First of all, the Samsung 980 PRO MZ-V8P1T0BW 1 TB SSD is able to interest gamers who can quickly launch games without waiting for a long time to load levels. It is also suitable for professional systems used for working with graphics, analyzing large data sets, etc. The high bandwidth of the drive (up to 7000 MB / s when reading and up to 5000 MB / s when writing) is primarily provided by a modern hardware base: 3D TLC NAND flash memory and a proprietary Elpis controller. Plus, it uses a fast PCI-E 4.0 4x interface and the NVMe protocol. The advantages of the model also include a high level of reliability and durability, which is confirmed by both a 5-year official warranty and a 600 TB mean time between failures (TBW).
