Samsung Galaxy A10 32GB 32 GB / 2 GB

The youngest model in the Galaxy A line of the 2019 model, sold under the auspices of affordability. The smartphone has got a widescreen 6.2-inch diagonal with a “triangular” cutout in the style of Infinity-V, where a 5 MP selfie camera lens is inscribed. The picture is broadcast on the display of the gadget in the maximum resolution of HD +, which, translated into the language of numbers, is 1520x720 pixels.
The combination of the homegrown eight-core Exynos 7884 chipset and 2 GB of RAM is responsible for the performance of the device — you can’t really play “heavy” games on such hardware, but it handles with ordinary tasks with a bang. The internal storage on board the smartphone has a capacity of 32 GB. To expand its capacity in the arsenal of the Samsung Galaxy A10, there is a separate “seat” for a microSD card. The main camera in the assets of the mobile gadget is single — 13 MP with f / 1.9 aperture optics. Neither the NFC chip, nor the fingerprint scanner, nor the USB-C connector of the model was delivered. Ensuring the life of the smartphone for one to one and a half days of activity is occupied by a non-removable battery with a capacity of 3400 mAh.
Samsung conquers the low-cost segment
Under pressure from Chinese smartphone makers, Samsung gradually got rid of the unnecessary touch of elitism and began to sell its inexpensive smartphones without markups for the brand and cuts in functionality. The new Galaxy A10 is already a frank swim in the waters of Xiaomi ultra-budgets. So it’s hard to remember when Samsung released an interesting, functional and pretty smartphone with a price tag of just under $150.
Large display with notched camera cutout
So, the smartphone is equipped with a fairly large 6.2 TFT display with a waterdrop notch for the front camera. The screen resolution is 1520x720 — not perfect, but for the money you can hardly find better. The display shows good colours and contrast. However it is worth preparing for the fact that there will be colour distortion typical for TFT matrices if you look at the screen at an angle.
Quality materials
According to Samsung, the Galaxy A10 has a roughly 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, which is certainly great considering its affordable price. The back panel of the Galaxy A10 is made of hard, glossy polycarbonate, which looks like it's worth the money. That is, not very expensive. Given the large screen, modern design and colour options, the A10 makes a good impression and doesn't look like something ultra-cheap bought for the last 3 cents.
Decent performance in everyday use
As a processor, the smartphone uses an octa-core Exynos 7884 chip, which is in the same league as the Snapdragon 625. It is complemented by an ARM Mali-G71 MP2 GPU, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage (plus there is support for memory cards). In everyday work, the smartphone behaves quickly, the shell handles well with the distribution of RAM. In normal undemanding games, the picture is the same. But above, everything is not so rosy, PUBG does not have enough iron power and the game lags even at the minimum settings. However, for this money, we did not expect anything else.
Additional functions
If the Chinese managed to install a dual camera in the new Redmi 7, then here we have the usual single version. As it turned out, there is not much difference in quality between them: A10 also clicks well in daylight, blurs objects in the background and suffers when shooting at night.
In terms of additional functions, the smartphone does not shine, but it does not disappoint either: slots for a pair of SIM cards and memory cards are separate, there is a full-fledged audio output and a battery saver function, but there is no fingerprint scanner, which is now found in every state employee.
