The fifth generation of the foldable "clamshell" from Samsung was introduced to the public in the middle of summer 2023. A noticeable innovation in the smartphone is the increased size of the external screen (from 1.9 inches to 3.4 inches). As a result, the useful area of the second display has increased by nearly four times. The model also features a new hinge mechanism for the folding main screen, which measures 6.7 inches diagonally and displays images with a resolution of 2640x1080 pixels.

The matrix used here is a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a dynamic refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+. The Samsung Galaxy Flip5 256GB operates on the powerful octa-core chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The smartphone comes with 8 GB of RAM, and the standard UFS 4.0 data storage has a capacity of 256 GB (without expansion slot). Additionally, the model features a dual main camera with 12 + 12 MP with optical stabilization of the primary image sensor and a 10 MP front camera. The device can be submerged underwater at a depth of up to one and a half meters for up to half an hour, thanks to the IPX8 body water resistance. The 3700 mAh battery supports fast wired charging with a power of 25 W and reverse wireless charging technology.

model with serious flaws

Samsung Flip5 phone cracked at the folding point after 9 months of use. The warranty is for one year, but repair under warranty was refused. They offered to repair it for 15,600.00 UAH, in addition to the 47,000.00 UAH for which I bought the phone, which didn’t even last a year. I no longer recommend any Samsung products and will never buy them again...
